Oracle didn’t decide to choose Red Hat Enterprise Linux. We decided to choose the most popular distribution already in use by our customers. Markets tend to consolidate around a handful of vendors as they grow — usually more than one and fewer than five. Over time, the market leader may change, but there will be a market leader. Service vendors like Oracle must support the top distributions. That’s what customers demand.
