But Dave and I bumped into each other at OSBC this week, and I was ecstatic to find out that Adobe had nabbed such a quality person to head its foray into open source. I last met Dave over pancakes at Stacks in Menlo Park two (or three?) years ago to discuss a range of open source business opportunities. Looks like he scored a massive one for himself. 🙂

You can track his blog here, which follows open source activities at Adobe (which I can only see accelerating over time). His blog is insightful and snarky: the best attributes for a blog to have.

He’s got a great presentation online that walks through the value of open standards, and when to avoid them.

Dave is such a great person to be doing this. I wish him the absolute best.
