After two months of living with my Palm Centro, I am finding that it just doesn’t have the battery life to get through a full day of travel. If I’m in the office, or out at a couple of customer or partner meetings, no problem; I can survive on 3.5 hours talk time or a mix of talk time and email.

But a full day at a conference or travelling, it just doesn’t cut it. Worse, they don’t seem to have spare batteries available in any of the AT&T stores or Palm stores. (Ok, that’s a joke — Palm closed their retail operations back in January.)

The Centro is a good phone and I’m still happy with it. It’s not exactly state-of-the-art, but if you like the Palm interface, it’s great. But I feel like a dork bringing a charger with me when I’m trying to travel light. Sort of defeats the purpose of being wireless.
