With the product, advanced software configuration management is offered as a standalone capability, giving companies a way to address immediate requirements and position for a more holistic approach if needed in the future, Serena said. Leveraging the Serena Dimensions 10 Dimensions distributed development platform, Express is intended to address issues of rapid implementation and usability with the need for control and management. Developers gain native platform support for their preferred workspace/repository and native integration with leading IDEs, Serena said. When changes are made to source code, Dimensions Express handles version control so if the need arises, developers can revert to the previous configuration. Support for parallel development is supported, enabling Dimensions Express to be used by development teams. Dimensions Express is available now for $995 per user. Technology Industry
