The best of Kawasaki's blog "How to Change the World." Guy Kawasaki is famous for his books, his role as a VC, and most recently as the founder of Alltop, a Web portal that covers news on a variety of different topics. Guy calls it an online magazine rack, where you can see all the top stories from a broad range of sources. Get it? If you haven’t seen Alltop before, check out the newly updated version 2.0. It’s particularly good on stories covering News, Tech, Startups, Venture Capital, and Sports. (There’s some coverage of music, but no mention of my GuitarVibe.com blog. It figures Guy would cover hockey in more depth than guitars.) Nonetheless, I’m also a big fan of Guy’s blog “How to Change the World.” But I don’t always have time to stay up-to-date with every post. So I was delighted to see that Guy is publishing a new book “Reality Check,” a collection of the best essays from the blog. The book covers topics such as fundraising, schmoozing, product pitches, PR, and more. And it’s all in the engaging, matter-of-fact style of the blog. Bob Sutton has written a review of the book on his blog. The book will be available in October in hardcover, and presumably also as a Kindle e-book. You can find a PDF chapter preview here.
