Microsoft has begun to tap bloggers for input toward the forthcoming Longhorn operating system, dubbing the project Team 99 and stating that members will receive early access to prereleases and be expected to review the OS, Joris Evers of the IDG News Service wrote in a story about Team 99. Already there are plenty of folks blogging out against Team 99, particularly the fact that Microsoft wants those involved to sign non-disclosure agreements. Microsoft blogger Robert Scoble gives some of the counter-opinions their due by linking to them and furthering the discussion on his blog. While there, I came across Scoble’s link to this Channel 9 video of Martin Taylor, Microsoft’s GM of competitive strategy talking about Linux with Bill Hilf, a Linux developer and Microsoft technical director of platform strategy.
