Jobs' health issues more complex than originally thought Steve Jobs and Apple have announced that Steve Jobs is taking a medical leave of absence, expecting to return full time in June. Despite an earlier message from Jobs that his health issues were “relatively simple and straightforward,” today’s message, reported on Engadget and elsewhere, says:During the past week I have learned that my health-related issues are more complex than I originally thought. In order to take myself out of the limelight and focus on my health, and to allow everyone at Apple to focus on delivering extraordinary products, I have decided to take a medical leave of absence until the end of June.While Jobs is not giving up the CEO position, he is leaving the day-to-day operations of the company in the hands of Tim Cook, Apple’s COO.
