The Computer History Museum in Mountain View is worth a visit.

Last week I blogged about a lecture at the Computer History Museum on Intel’s disruptive moves with its 80386 chip back in the mid-80s. (Also, Tom Halfhill over at Microprocessor Report has posted an article for subscribers on how Intel got big with the 80386.)

If local to the bay area or visiting and looking for a geeky inspirational thing to do, you could do a whole lot worse than visiting the Computer History Museum in Mountain View. They’re open Weds/Thurs/Fri/Sun from noon – 4pm and Saturday 11:00am – 5pm, as well as occasionally for lectures or other special events in the evenings. There’s also some good online articles, a Youtube channel, exhibits and other online resources.

I’ve posted some photos from a few of the exhibits to whet your appetite.
