Chris over at the Bailey WorkPlay asks a great question: if your leadership style was a punctuation mark, what would it be? (Hang in there, this isn’t touchy feely.)

Instead of always with the:

“Bailey! Come here! And explain to me why our customer is pissed off!!!”

How about some:

“Chris? What happened to make this customer so angry? And what’s your plan for making this right?”

The point is related to my last post: as a strong leader it’s your job to build strong leaders. When you trust your team you don’t have to demand an explanation from them; you can simply ask them what they’re doing to solve this problem.
