Among the highlights are: — An increase of 6 percent worldwide in IT spending. — Businesses moving toward what IDC calls a dynamic IT environment.— Hardware commoditization that, as expected, results in lower pricing. — Software infrastructure products will expand through mergers and partnerships. — The notion of a killer app metamorphosing into the killer application platform. — An increase in offshore outsourcing.
