BMC Software on Tuesday is boosting management of SQL Server and Sybase databases. The company’s SmartDBA Performance Monitoring v2.5 products for Sybase and SQL Server provide a database administration environment for object and event management, problem determination and diagnostics, BMC said. SmartDBA helps DBAs become “instant experts” in all database environments, enabling companies to reduce costs while DBAs broaden their technical contributions and knowledge, BMC said.
