Deloitte will train 100 consultants on CA's software to offer a range of security and risk-management services for Asian customers CA and Deloitte & Touche are expanding an existing partnership to cover more of Asia, hoping to tap growing demand from large companies for software that improves security.Under terms of an agreement between the two companies, Deloitte will train and certify 100 consultants on CA’s software over the next two years. These consultants will offer a range of security and risk-management services for Asian customers, including providing a software-development methodology and framework, and recommending specific software that suits their needs. They will also handle implementation and customization of the software and provide maintenance services.CA and Deloitte already work together in Singapore. That relationship is now being expanded to other Asian countries, such as China, India, and Japan, said Gavin Selkirk, CA’s senior vice president and general manager of Asia-Pacific and Japan. Selkirk said the expanded partnership between CA and Deloitte was not a “fluffy agreement,” promising the two companies will generate revenue of $100 million in the region over the next two years.“You have not seen us make this kind of investment in a partnership or alliance before,” he said.Among the offerings to be made available by Deloitte is Enterprise Business & Security Optimization (EBSO), a method it developed of using identity and access-management software from CA to improve corporate security.
