The airline will sell seats on the first flight, from Singapore to Sydney, on eBay Inc.’s Singaporean auction site, with all proceeds going to charity.Tickets for the Oct. 25 flight will be auctioned off for all three classes of service: Singapore Airlines Suites, business class, and economy. Starting bids for the tickets have yet to be revealed. However, the cheapest fare listed on Singapore Airline’s Web site for a single round-trip ticket from Singapore to Sydney is S$900 (US$585). The A380 can carry up to 555 passengers, but the planes ordered by Singapore Airlines will not carry that many. The A380 configuration ordered by the airline can seat fewer than 480 passengers.
