Zack Urlocker looks at the first batch of open source business-related applications to emerge for the new iPhone 3G.

The initial crop includes: Pentaho, Funambol, Zimbra, Zmanda, and SugarCRM.

“I have no doubt that many more business applications –both open source and closed –will follow. Even though the iPhone isn’t quite the open platform that Linux is, it looks to be a good platform and there’s a lot of interest among business users,” Urlocker writes in this Open Sources post.
