Vista revisited

Paul Venezia was tied to a system running Vista for the past week and came away thinking, “it’s actually quite usable and overall I’ve enjoyed the experience.”

Although it’s not as polished as Mac OS, Venezia adds, it’s not terrible either. Working with Vista, revisited.

That said, Venezia points out that the start menu and sleep/suspend cycle are not on par with Mac OS, and he did have some application incompatibilities to overcome. And there were a few other annoyances: running anti-virus software, adding common devices such as mice and USB drives, as well as the number of required reboots.

“I’m not going to be staying in Vista-land. Since I do have other choices, I still prefer Mac OS X and Linux.”
