Among the offerings, the Enterprise package is designed to delegate content management and creation tasks to content owners. Other solutions include Atomz Commerce and Atomz Media & Entertainment.

AIM Tagged With Viruslike Game

A Web-based game is annoying AIM (America Online Instant Messenger) users with its viruslike self promotion. The game grabs names from a user’s AIM address book and automatically sends those users IMs with links to a Web page where the game can be downloaded. America Online has said it is aware of the problem and is considering legal action. The game is not a virus or IM worm but an example of what some call “adware,” software that runs in the background on a computer and can be used by marketers to display ads.

CipherTrustBeefs Up Anti-Spam

CipherTrust’s IronMail 4.0 e-mail security appliance will support new anti-spam technology that prevents the use of forged or “spoofed” sender addresses on unsolicited commercial spam e-mail. The SPF (Sender Policy Framework) technology authenticates e-mail senders and blocks spam before it is sent. SPF is not a spam-filtering technology. Instead of analyzing the content of messages to spot spam, SPF allows Internet domain administrators to describe their e-mail servers in an SPF record that is attached to the DNS record.
