The deal, expected to close during Sun's fiscal 2008 Q3, will add Vaau's identity compliance software to Sun's list of offerings Sun said Tuesday it plans to buy Vaau, a Torrance, Calif.-based vendor of ERM (enterprise role management) and identity compliance software.The terms of the deal were not disclosed. The deal is “immaterial to Sun’s earnings per share,” Sun said.Vaau makes a product suite called RBACx. It includes Identity Warehouse, for storing user information; Compliance Manager, which targets identity auditing; and Role Manager, a role and rule engine. Sun said Vaau’s offerings would fit well into its own portfolio of products.
