time for IBM to buy RHAT

There is a growing appearance that Microsoft is vulnerable, and much of that success lies on the back of Linux, as it has dislodged Windows and, by extension somewhat, Solaris, in the enterprise, so it is incumbent on Red Hat to find a safe home, and there is no safer home than IBM. Linux on the server, as well as the mobile handset is solidified by the appearance and maintenance of stability. Even Google uses it. So, what would happen to IBM? It would give them another app server, and the most successful open source program in the form of Enterprise Linux, and it would be a selling boon to Global Services, absolutely every last IBM customer would sign-up for the exchange program from mainframe to IBM Linux. It would lower cost of ownership for IBM shops, worldwide, and would give WebSphere some help, in the competitive front with .Net, simpler, dafter, more standards-oriented, it would be like Glassfish at Oracle, but only IBM has the personnel to sell two app servers, and they would do it well. This is no-brainer territory, get Glassfish in the arms of both Oracle and Google, get JBoss in the arms of IBM, and it is safe to deploy all future web enterprise apps on Java EE, there is no question where to go, it all makes sense for ease of mind, in getting rid of Windows on the Server, and all that .Net represents. New account creation happens with Google in the game, and with Red Hat being part of the arsenal of IBM consultants, just get it done.
