Kevin Weiss becomes president, former CFO Eric Brown assumes COO role McAfee Inc. announced Tuesday it had promoted Kevin Weiss to president and that Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Eric Brown will become the company’s chief operating officer (COO).Weiss previously served as McAfee’s executive vice president of worldwide sales prior to the appointment and will be driving strategic direction, global marketing, sales and technical support operations, the company said in a statement.He replaces Gene Hodges, who departed in January to become president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Websense Inc., succeeding John Carrington, who became that company’s chairman, Websense said in a statement.
